The multidisciplinary research of my laboratory is an extension of my diverse scientific training (including chemistry, genetics, transplantation immunology, molecular biology, developmental biology, mutagenesis, hematopoiesis and cardiovascular biology), the background and expertise of my trainees (including developmental biologists, engineers, geneticists, and molecular biologists), and the applied science focus of my home department, the Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering.
